Alex: Date for surgery

I just received this email from Ed:

Alex continues to heal well and is in great spirits, however, he can't wait to leave the hospital. When he eventually is released, he can't be in any crowds for at least 3 weeks. He is on anti-rejection drugs and will be forever! Alex will have more surgery tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2 PM central time to remove his native kidney. They hope to do it laparoscopically but that is not for sure. The healing time is greatly reduced with the laparoscopic procedure. They hope to remove his hemo port as well. More to come
